The derby is back, with its emotions and passion that only the match par excellence can reserve. Frogs and Skorpions face each other at Vigorelli on Saturday evening, kick off at 9pm, with different objectives, but with the same need to bring home important points, fundamental for Varese to get to the big match against Ancona with an immaculate record and useful in Legnano for face the final rush of the regular season as best as possible with ample possibility, moreover, of reaching the postseason. The Frogs have proven to be a tenacious team, which never gives up, as evidenced by the last black-silver match, against the Guelphs, in which Tony Addona's team led the way for a long time, despite lacking Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi, first to give in at the end. There will be many challenges within the match starting with the one between the two playmakers with Griffin still in first place for passing efficiency and Eystin Salum king of offensive production in terms of yards. Other themes of the match will be the ability of the Skorpions to cope with the opponent's aerial play, let us remember that Nick Holt's team is the leader in the specialty with three interceptions scored in four matches and the attention to big plays which especially for the owners of home are often a winning weapon. Varese's attack can benefit from the mastery of managing the game demonstrated by its quarterback who makes regularity his trademark. Having said all this, there are certainly the elements for a spectacular match that should not fail to meet the fans' expectations. The Skorpions must make up for last year's defeat which could have had disastrous consequences if the team had not achieved the double victory against the Rhinos which first earned them access to the play offs and then the conquest of the semi-final.
